This was an interactive tracking application that enabled participant registration, QR Code tracking and photo capture, as well as an audience game. The mobile app was able to successfully integrate each of Target’s different stations and assigned participants their favorite lessons through the use of their unique QR Code card. Participants were given a QR Code card activated upon their arrival at Target’s giant basket. As attendees visited the various event stations, brand ambassadors scanned the QR Code card and thus participation was tracked. While at each station, users were able to choose their favorite lessons and a brand ambassador would assign them their QR Code card. Event attendees could also have their picture taken and uploaded to a customized microsite. On this microsite, users were able to print and share photos that were taken during the event as well as looking at their personalized shopping basket where all of their assigned lessons were available. For event administrators, this interactive tracking solution reported valuable information to the company such as the level of engagement, station popularity and number of photos taken and shared through social media. This gave Target detailed insight into the success of the event.
